Man Utd defender exiled from first-team training as Jose looks to sell

Manchester United Football Club are undertaking a real major overhaul at the moment, with Jose Mourinho keen to make the squad his own. With quality players brought in, the manager will obviously want to get rid of some dead wood, too.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Tyler Blackett is one man who could well be sold this summer. They also add that the young Mancunian hasn’t even been allowed to train with the first-team since the players returned to action this week.

Blackett burst onto the scene in the season before last, and he really looked the part in Louis van Gaal’s debut season. However, this season he was out on loan at Celtic and struggled massively.

Jose Mourinho is a real defence-first type manager, and he requires 100% from his centre-backs. Perhaps he just doesn’t think Tyler Blackett is good enough, or he already has plans to utilise other defenders instead.
