Man Utd defender ruled out for the season

The start of Manchester United’s season was extremely troubled by injuries, and although they eased up considerably for the vital portions of the campaign, those problems seem to be returning as we draw to a close.

Louis van Gaal met the worlds media today ahead of the eagerly anticipated Everton clash, and gave us all a massive blow as he confirmed Rafael da Silva is out for the season with a broken rib.

“It’s unbelievable,” Van Gaal told MUTV. “He has broken his ribs so he shall not play any more this season for Manchester United. It’s very unfortunate.”

With his lack of playing time being very limited, Van Gaal clearly doesn’t seem keen on the Brazilian, and its a real possibility that we may never see him play for the club again as a move away from the club looks highly likely when the summer transfer window opens.
