Manchester United are looking resigned to losing David de Gea this summer, and yesterday Marca reported that Real Madrid were willing to pay just £14million to sign our Spanish shot-stopper this summer.
However today, the same media outlet are reporting that Manchester United are holding out for €40million, and the Portuguese left-back Fabio Coentrao could be involved in the deal.
The £14million that Real Madrid are willing to pay is insulting, and if thats all they are prepared to offer then I’d take the risk and let De Gea leave on a free transfer next summer.
However if they do up that considerably, it’d be too hard to turn down. Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing Fabio Coentrao used in the deal either. He’s experienced and extremely versatile, and we all know just how much Van Gaal likes his players to be capable of playing in more than one position.
Should we refuse to sell De Gea and let him leave on a free next summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
