A pair of key Man United players were named in the latest BBC Team of the Week after top displays vs Wolves.
Manchester United’s campaign has definitely gotten off to a pretty good start. Credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has picked up two wins and a draw from his first three fixtures.
We’re now into the international break, with ten days to go until our beloved Red Devils return. There’s still some time for reflection from last time out, though.
United were pretty bad against Wolves, though winning ugly has always been a sign of a good side. The Old Trafford Club definitely proved their worth in that regard – with a couple of standout performers being rewarded for their brilliance with a spot in the BBC Team of the Week.

First up we have David de Gea, who looked back to his brilliant best this Sunday. It was his supreme double-save that helped preserve our clean sheet, while he even came out and mopped up with some sweeper-keeper type plays too!
Next we have Paul Pogba. He was by far and away our biggest threat in this one due to his immense passing range and ability. I’d go as far as saying he looked like the only constant attacking output in this one – and it’s nice to see him get recognition for that.
The Frenchman has started the season in blistering fashion and long may that continue. We’re going to need him to be at the top of his game if we’re to win major honours this term.
I’d definitely have Raphael Varane in this side, too. Virgil van Dijk cruised through a game against ten men last time out and he didn’t really do anything of note.
