Man Utd duo struck down by injuries

Manchester United overcame an extremely stubborn Cambridge United side on a cold night at Old Trafford yesterday, and a fifth round tie away at Preston follows in a couple of weeks time. The draw has really opened up for United, and this presents a superb chance for a piece of major silverware.

The duo of Luke Shaw and Adnan Januzaj were both missing from the squad yesterday, and shortly afterwards we learned that the pair are struggling from injuries.

Luke Shaw, in particular, is a worrying one because he seems to have had a whole host of injuries in his short Manchester United career. Maybe its his young body adapting to the physicality of Premier League football, or maybe its just the fact that he isn’t used to as intense training.

Both injuries aren’t thought to be serious, so hopefully we should see one or maybe both of them in the match day squad this weekend.
