Man Utd enquire about signing Columbian forward

Manchester United lost the services of Radamel Falcao at the end of the season, and today fresh reports suggest that we have made the first step to signing one of his international teammates – Carlos Bacca.

The news comes from The Telegraph, who say that initial enquiries about the availability of the front man have been made.

Bacca seems to be a late developer. It has only been over the past couple of seasons where he has really made a name for himself, and he’s now 28, and at that prime age when it comes to top strikers in the world.

He has played a massive part in Sevilla’s European success over the past couple of seasons, and the explosive forward has scored 49 competitive goals in his two seasons in Spain.

There has been no price mentioned, but because of his aforementioned performances he certainly wouldn’t be cheap, but he would bring that much-needed pace to an ageing and immobile front line.

Would Bacca be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
