Manchester United’s transfer window has been an extremely successful one so far, but it looks as though its about to take a step back, as Angel di Maria is all set to complete his move to Paris Saint-Germain within hours, according to RMC.
RMC say that the want away Argentine has already passed his medical with the Ligue One champions, and the €63million transfer will go through today and he’ll be announced as a PSG player after less than twelve months in the red of United.
Whilst it would be a shame to see him go, we don’t want unhappy players and professionals who don’t want to be at Manchester United. When you consider that Pedro is waiting in the wings to come in and replace the 27-year old Di Maria, it makes perfect sense to let him go and bring in the Barcelona man as a direct replacement.

At this point, I would take Pedro over Di Maria but it’s solely based on performance. Why do you think Di Maria lied though?
He lied when he told the fans he was going to stay and fight for his place while, at the same time, sneaking out of the back door. He obviously lied to his team mates when he told them he would see them in America. I knew he was a bad signing and even went as far as to warn against it on many, many posts last year. I didn’t realise he was this despicable as a person though.
So glad he has gone, prime example of the non professional of the modern game. De Gea is in a similar situation to Di Maria in that he wants to move on, but in De Gea’s defence he wants to move back to his home town but still shows his character by joining up with the squad and remaining professional and training hard. Where as Di Maria hasnt got the bottle to join up with United in America or now back with them in Manchester, instead goes awol and has an extended holiday in Argentina. United should have charged him a months wages let alone 2 weeks. Im also glad LVG put an additional £3m on his asking price. Im not sure why the majority of the Argies represent themselves in this way. From memory Tevez at Man City, Heniz at Man Utd, Mascherano at Liverpool and now Di Maria at Man Utd. Good riddance to Di Maria and welcome the better suited Pedro, cant wait to see our new look front line.
