Man Utd eye move for Argentine winger

Manchester United are set to battle local rivals Liverpool for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain’s Argentine winger, Ezequiel Lavezzi. Liverpool have been admirers of the 29-year old for some time now, and have tried to sign the tricky winger on more than one occasion over the past couple of seasons.

According to The Metro, Louis van Gaal is set to challenge Brendan Rodgers for his signature this summer, as Lavezzi will definitely be leaving PSG this summer if you believe reports.

The winger has been very hit and miss in recent years. He often has a stormer of a game followed by a couple of very average games, but I guess thats the nature of a winger.

I’d personally like to see us target a centre-back, right-back and a striker before we bring in more wingers, as we have an abundance of players who are more than capable of playing out wide.

Would Lavezzi be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
