Man Utd eye move for Dutch full-back

Manchester United are reportedly discussing a move for Dutch right-back, Gregory Van der Wiel. The 27-year old has found himself in and out of the PSG side recently, and is considering a move away from Paris, according to Duncan Castles.

Van der Wiel is a player that Louis van Gaal knows, from when he was manager of the Dutch national team, but the Iron Tulip opted for Daryl Janmaat instead of the PSG man.

This begs the question as to how true this news is, as he clearly values Janmaat more than Van der Wiel, as Janmaat made an unchallenged move to Newcastle United last summer.

I’d much prefer it if United went for a wing-back who is more proven in the Premier League, someone like Nathaniel Clyne or Seamus Coleman wuld fit the bill perfectly.

Would Van der Wiel be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
