Manchester United’s concerns regarding David de Gea’s contract situation seem to be growing, and it looks as though the club are scouting out replacements just incase the talented 24-year old opts to return to Spain.
According to The Express, Manchester united have tired their attention to Asmir Begovic. The 27-year old Bosnian has been at Stoke City since 2010, and has been at the heart of their stern back line for the last five years.
Begovic has long been linked for a move away from the Potters, but no club have yet come in with big enough offers to lure him away.
United will be challenged by other clubs for his signature, though, with Liverpool looking at him to replace Simon Mignolet and Spurs keeping tabs on him if they lose Hugo Lloris.
For me, De Gea is irreplaceable, but if United were to go for Begovic or the aforementioned Lloris, those are probably the two keepers I’d like to see come in.
