Man Utd eye Tottenham right-back as summer target

Manchester United are looking extremely likely to make a move for a new right-back in the summer, as it looks like Rafael da Silva’s days are numbered at Old Trafford. Louis van Gaal has preferred the versatile Antonio Valencia all season, but it looks as though he wants a more natural defender in the side.

Kyle Walker was once touted as one of the biggest prospects in England, but having slowed up due to a series of injuries has led to him going off the radar somewhat.

According to The Mirror, United are weighing up a summer bid for the England international, who also has the capabilities of playing centre-back as well as right-back.

The 24-year old would cost United around £20million as the tough negotiator Daniel Levy would once again drive a hard bargain. For me its a toss up between Walker and Clyne as to which right-back we’ll sign this summer, and if the choice was mine I’d go for Clyne.

Would Walker be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
