Manchester United are looking likelier to lose David de Gea with each passing day, and Louis van Gaal has admitted that he already knows who his replacement will be if the Spaniard does decide to leave the club in the summer.
According to The Telegraph, Petr Cech has emerged as a target for Manchester United this summer, but it is thought the primary target is Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris.
Lloris has been a long-standing target for the club in general, with Sir Alex Ferguson keen on signing the Frenchman when he made the move for David de Gea instead.
The sad truth is that whoever we get as a replacement for De Gea probably won’t be anywhere near the level of the Spaniard. Its disappointing that we’ve watched him grow from a spindly keeper into one of the world’s best, and we won’t get to have the pleasure of watching him play on the Old Trafford turf week-in week-out.
