Man Utd fans react as Fred plays dreadfully vs Liverpool

Fred struggled badly vs Liverpool last night, with the fans less than impressed with their Brazilian midfielder…

Well, that was certainly a night to forget for Manchester United. The game itself started well, but from about the 15th minute onwards, the Red Devils were pretty much second best throughout.

There were no great performances from the men in Red on the night, but there were some absolute shockers. Fred was the one who was taking the brunt of the criticism online, but like I say, we could’ve picked any one of eleven players’ names out of a hat…

The Brazilian, who cost £52m (yes, you read that correctly), just doesn’t cut it in these sort of games. He always brings the effort and energy, sadly, the quality isn’t there.

He was once again outmatched and outplayed by his opposite number and I’m just not sure you can win Premier League titles with a player like him starting regularly.

Passing? Terrible. Positional sense? Even worse. It pains me to say it, but Fred just doesn’t possess the footballing brain to compete at the highest level. As a squad player, perhaps the Brazilian can do a job. I just don’t think United can rely upon him as much as they do and expect to win the big-boy trophies. Simply put, he was exposed tonight.

Now, he’ll be super-low on confidence going into a critical Europa League final. A game in which he’s almost certain to start in, too. I’ll be honest, that worries me massively…

As you’d imagine, United supporters were scathing in their thoughts about Fred, as the star was appalling vs Liverpool… Look away now, Fred fans.
