Louis Van Gaal will have to wait until after the European Super Cup if he waits to sign Pedro from Barcelona reports the Mirror.
The Super Cup will be played on the 11th August which will be too soon for Barcelona forwards Messi and Neymar who have been given an extended break after the Copa America. Barcelona are accepted to the fact that Pedro will leave but will not sell him to United until after the Super Cup Final.
Pedro, 28, will play for Barcelona against Sevilla which will mean he will miss United’s opening Premier League game against Tottenham. United are still in need of attacking options and LVG see’s Pedro as someone who can adapted and adhere to his ‘philosophy’ and with a release clause of just £22million is the ideal replacement for the outgoing Di Maria.

If United can’t sign Pedro until after the Super Cup should they target another signing instead?
