Man Utd given confirmed date for FA Cup Replay

The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup is made tonight, and Manchester United will be in the hat despite the fact they are yet to qualify from the fourth round. They have to play a replay against Cambridge United at Old Trafford, and the date has been confirmed for Tuesday 3rd February.

With many of Manchester United’s big rivals being eliminated from the competition on Saturday, Louis van Gaal’s men are now instated as favourites by most bookmakers to go on and win the competition.

This is a bizarre change of events, because on Friday night many were cursing the aforementioned Dutchman for team selection and the lack of motivation for his players.

This represents a huge chance for him to bag his first bit of silverware for Manchester United, and the FA Cup would be an excellent start. The Red Devils haven’t lifted the trophy since way back in 2004, and if we get a favourable draw in round five then we should be well on the way to making it to the semi-finals at the very least.
