Manchester United have been given an early boost ahead of their game vs Leicester City in a fortnight.

Let’s be honest, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs every little bit of help he can get at the moment. His Manchester United side have simply not been good enough to start this season.

Positive early results have masked the overall start to the campaign, with United playing some pretty average football for the most part. United go into the international break in supremely poor form, with some super-tricky games coming up in the not too distant future…

Next for United is a game against Leicester City. The Foxes have always been a tough challenge for the Red Devils, with this one going to be no different.

However, United have been given an early lift ahead of this game, with Brendan Rodgers set to be missing a key star with injury.

According to the Leicester Mercury, Wilfred Ndidi is set to be sidelined for five weeks, meaning he’ll miss this match.

The Nigerian has been a sensational player for Leicester over the last couple of years, breaking up play, working his socks off and enjoying doing the dirty work. It goes without saying, Leicester’s team is far weaker without him in it – which boosts United’s chances at victory.

Make no mistake, Solskjaer cannot afford many more slip-ups. His job is probably more under threat than it ever has been at this moment in time – and the upcoming fixture list is incredibly tough.

Time and time again, the Baby Faced Assassin has answered his critics back in the perfect way when United go through these poor spells. It’s up to him and that squad of players to do that again – starting with a weakened Leicester City side in just under two weeks.
