Man Utd given huge injury boost ahead of the derby

Manchester United take on rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday, with the winner guaranteed to be placed higher in the Premier League table when the weekend is over. Van Gaal has been given a huge boost ahead of the biggest game of our season.

Robin van Persie has been out injured since the 2-1 defeat against Swansea back in February, but now the Flying Dutchman has declared himself fit and available for selection once again.

The 31-year old made a return to full training yesterday, which gives the club another attacking option going into the run-in.

Its highly unlikely that Van Persie will start the game against City this weekend, but due to the form of Radamel Falcao, it’ll be nice to have a real goalscoring threat ready to come off from the bench.
