Manchester United’s treatment table has been a lot emptier in recent weeks, which is obviously a big boost to Louis van Gaal’s hopes of finishing in the top four. However in the 3-1 victory at home to Burnley, both Phil Jones and Daley Blind had to hobble off in the first half.
The Phil Jones problem is still unclear, but there has been some positive comments from Van Gaal regarding Daley Blind.
Van Gaal said:
“With Blind, I say what the doctor has said – we’ll wait and see. I think he shall play on Monday – that’s my expectation, but you never know.”
This is great news. For me, Daley Blind has been the outstanding player for United so far this season, and although its a cup tie against a lower league side, his efficiency in possession will be hugely important.
The 24-year old is winning many fans upon the Old Trafford terraces in his short stay for his performances on the pitch, but he is as equally classy off it as he has shown.
