Manchester United had one of the best summer transfer windows we’ve seen in a long time. Jose Mourinho managed to acquire four world class signings that improve the overall look of the squad dramatically, whilst keeping all of his current squad members together.
His work clearly isn’t done though, in fact it has only just begun. Some reports have already suggested the self-proclaimed Special One is planning for next season, with another big name signing on the horizon.
That’s according to The Sun, who say that Manchester United have targeted Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid for a move next summer – but they’ll face competition for the signature of the 25-year-old.
The attacker reportedly has a release clause of £84million, but Chelsea and Antonio Conte are also in the chase to sign the world class Frenchman.
Yo’d imagine that Griezmann himself would prefer a move to the Theatre of Dreams, but I don’t see any move happening at all unless we have Champions League football on the table for him. Then again, we managed to sign Pogba and Ibrahimovic without it…
