Things seem to finally be hotting up for Manchester United in the transfer window, with Matteo Darmian set to be announced by the club today. That move looks set to be followed up by another big transfer – Bastian Schweinsteiger of Bayern Munich.
Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Schweinsteiger, according to Sky Sports News’ Bryan Swanson, and the two clubs are going to take part in further talks about the 30-year old today.
This one really has come out of nowhere, and what a fantastic piece of business it would be. A World Cup winner who has played at the highest level for all of his career, and he’d give some much-needed backup to Michael Carrick.
