Manchester United’s only recognisable right-back Rafael da Silva certainly isn’t one of Louis van Gaal’s favourites at the club this season, and its looking increasingly likely that the Brazilian is going to be replaced this summer. According to The Sun, he could be replaced by his Brazilian compatriot.
Dani Alves has been one of the most consistent full-backs in world football for well over five years now, and although he is coming to the end of his career there is no doubt he could still do a job for Manchester United.
The 31-year old is out of contract at the Nou Camp this summer, and his exit is looking increasingly likely by the day as no new deal has been offered to him.
There will be a whole host of clubs in for the Brazilian, but Manchester United are thought to be leading the charge for his signature at the moment.
He’d be a great asset to the team, and his ability to bomb forward as well as defend solidly would definitely improve our starting line-up.
