Manchester United’s summer transfer plans are well underway, with Louis van Gaal seemingly intent on spending big again this summer. According to reports in Italy, United have been in talks with AS Roma’s Radja Nainggolan since March.
The fee being mentioned is somewhere around the £28million mark, and it is believed United have offered him €4million-a-year to become a Manchester United player.
The box-to-box midfielder has been superb since moving to Roma. The Belgian’s game would be a huge asset to United, with his ability to defend, attack, as well as keep things simple to keep the ball in our possession.
The only concern would be who he replaces in the first-team. Michael Carrick seems a certainty to play if fit, Fellaini has been superb over these few months as has Ander Herrera.
Perhaps Louis van Gaal isn’t completely happy with the aforementioned trio though, particularly as a move for Ilkay Gundogan looks almost done.
