Man United continue to be linked with a move to sign Rennes midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga.
Old Trafford has played host to some of the finest players our beautiful game has ever seen. Perhaps what Manchester United are best at though, is signing youngsters and nurturing their talent.
Suddenly, a move for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is being touted pretty heavily. We’ve covered those updates for you here.
Now, Sky Sports News have given their take on the Camavinga situation. They state that United are amongst the clubs interested in signing the talented midfielder this summer.
Furthermore, United have already held informal talks with Camavinga’s agent. As of right now, the French teenager is entering into the final year of his contract, though Rennes, understandably, want the midfielder to sign a new deal.
Camavinga would be available to sign a pre-contract with any overseas club as early as January. United aren’t hoping it comes to that, by making a move for him early, in an effort to try and eliminate the competition.
United are yet to make an official offer for Camavinga, while Sky say it’s the same situation for Raphael Varane’s proposed Old Trafford move. It’s claimed while the chances of both Varane and Camavinga joining United is not impossible, it’s ‘remote in reality’.
Another thing worth noting is that if Camavinga was to leave, as of right now, Spain and Real Madrid is his most likely destination.
You do get the impression United would be interested in making a move for Camavinga happen during this transfer window. As of right now, though, the chances of a move actually happening look pretty slim.
