Man Utd keen to avoid player swap involving De Gea and Bale

Manchester United are still unsure on the whereabouts of David de Gea come next season, with the Spaniard still thought to be deciding on where his future lies despite being entirely happy living in England and Manchester in particular.

According to Ian Ladyman, Manchester United themselves are preparing alternative options if De Gea does leave, but the club are keen to avoid any potential player swaps including David de Gea and Gareth Bale, and are keen for cash up front.

Personally I think David de Gea will leave this summer, the lure of Real and the guarantee of wining trophies in his hometown every season would be too good for any Spanish player to turn down. At the end of the day you cannot really blame him.

However I think we would be missing a trick if we didn’t try to get one of Real Madrid’s star players in return. Even if it isn’t Gareth Bale, Real Madrid usually sell one of their big stars every season, and no doubt they have a whole host of players who could improve our team.

Would Bale be a good addition? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
