Manchester United Football Club could be on the verge of making yet another signing this summer, with reports emerging that a move for France international, and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi is close.
Mourinho’s men are now the odds-on favourite to secure the signature of 29-year-old midfielder, Blaise Matuidi. The French international has been one of the most underrated central players over the last few seasons, and is the perfect box-to-box midfielder that United have been crying out for.
This certainly seems like a transfer that could well happen, because Paris Saint-Germain have just spent a huge amount of money on bringing in Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla.
Although this would only be a short-term fix due to his age, it would be an astute piece of business yet again by Jose Mourinho.
It says a lot that you feel his addition to the squad would really transform that area of the field almost single-handedly, and it would allow Manchester United’s more forward thinking players to do what they do best.
