Erling Haaland rumours again? Yep… We thought they were all done and dusted when he completed a January move to Borussia Dortmund, but fear not, they’re still here…
This time, the story comes from ESPN, who claim that United are ‘ready to rival’ European giant Real Madrid for the prolific 19-year-old’s signature.
As we all know, Haaland turned down an Old Trafford move in favour of Borussia Dortmund just a couple of months ago, though the Norweigian has a release clause in his contract, which alerted Madrid – and obviously United, too.
The report claims that Dortmund ‘expect’ to keep ahold of the striker for at least another season, though if the release clause is triggered then the ball is firmly in the player’s court.
Apparently, rejecting United hasn’t led to any burned bridges between the Old Trafford outfit and Haaland, with the Reds closely monitoring the striker’s progress over in Germany.
Look, we all know what an incredible talent Haaland is. He’s scored twelve goals in eleven games since moving to the Westfalonstadion and was looking in incredible shape before the halt in proceedings.
Yes, United would love him, heck any club would and I don’t doubt that his release clause will be getting triggered by a hatful of clubs when the time comes…
