Manchester United have been utilising Antonio Valencia as a right-back this season, as Louis van Gaal seemingly doesn’t fancy Rafael da Silva whatsoever in that spot. The club are certainly in the market for a new right-back this summer, and high on that list is Porto’s Danilo.
The Brazilian right-back has been in great form for his club this season, and his refusal to sign a new deal at the Portuguese club has put a whole host of sides on red alert – including United.
The 23-year old has already won 11 caps for his native Brazil, and he alongside Nathaniel Clyne and Seamus Coleman seem to be the primary targets for Van Gaal.
For me, I’d love to see Clyne come into the picture. The Englishman has been lighting it up for Southampton this season, and with his contract coming to an end he’d be available on the cheap.
