Well, that was a night to forget. As they say, though, the show must go on. It’s time for our Man Utd player ratings vs Liverpool.
Dean Henderson – Made a couple of smart saves but was partly at fault for the awful third goal conceded. 3/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Started well and got forward at every opportunity. Went missing in the second 45, though. 4/10
Eric Bailly – There’s no in between with him. For my liking, he’s far too rash for a centre-back. He just has no composure. 3/10
Victor Lindelof – Probably United’s best defender on the night which tells you all you need to know. 5/10
Luke Shaw – Even Shaw had a poor game. Sloppy and careless in possession and didn’t threaten in attack. 4/10
Scott McTominay – Couldn’t get into it whatsoever. Poor on the ball and didn’t drive his teammates forward. 4/10
Fred – Dreadful. Couldn’t pick a pass, gave it away far too cheaply and was bullied by Liverpool’s midfield. Hooked after an hour. 3/10
Bruno Fernandes – Picked up his customary goal contribution, but aside from that, he was painfully quiet. 5/10
Marcus Rashford – Stuck out on the right for the first hour and predictably offered nothing out there. Scored literally minutes after being moved to the left. 5/10
Paul Pogba – Awful. Gave the ball away cheaply, wasn’t strong enough in one-on-ones and honestly, it just looked like he wasn’t that bothered. 3/10
Edinson Cavani – Couldn’t get into it, though that was likely due to a lack of service. His effort wasn’t lacking and that was somewhat rewarded with an assist. 5/10
Subs:
Mason Greenwood – Changed the game when he came on. Probably should have scored to make it 3-3, though.
Nemanja Matic – Brought on with 5 minutes to play when chasing the game. Why? I don’t know.
