Man Utd player ratings during 0-0 draw vs Chelsea (Premier League home, 2020/21)

David de Gea – Hardly had anything to do all game. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Back to his brilliant best. Winning tackles galore, keeping it simple with the ball at his feet and remaining calm throughout. 7/10

Victor Lindelof – His best game in ages. Wasn’t afraid to carry the ball out from the back. Won his fair share of tackles and was dominant in the air. Excellent. 8/10

Harry Maguire – Could have conceded a penalty in the first 45. However, he too was great defensively putting that aside. 7/10

Luke Shaw – I’d like to see more adventure in an attacking third. You can understand why he was hesitant to bomb forward in such a tight game though. 5/10

Scott McTominay – So-so. He brought some energy and toughness to the game, but I’d like to see him distribute the ball better. 5/10

Fred – Was very busy. Again, he wasn’t afraid to get stuck in and throw his weight around, though I do worry when he’s trying to thread the needle with his passing. 5/10

Bruno Fernandes – Tried to make things happen, but it’s tough to do so when you’re facing a back five. 5/10

Juan Mata – Subbed after the hour mark. I actually thought he was very unlucky as he was linking up the play nicely. 6/10

Daniel James – I just struggle to see what he brings to the table in a game like this. He’s great on the counter, but doesn’t have the cutting edge to make things happen in these tight games. 3/10

Marcus Rashford – Probably should have scored in the first half. Made Mendy work a few times. Easily United’s biggest threat. 6/10

Subs:

Edinson Cavani – Almost scored with his first touch!

Paul Pogba – Steady.

Mason Greenwood – Not enough time to mark.
