Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s job is seemingly safe for now after an excellent victory. It’s time for our Man Utd player ratings vs Everton.
David de Gea – Didn’t have absolutely anything to do except pick the ball out of the net. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Steady. Was ineffective in an attacking capacity but did his defensive job well. 5/10
Victor Lindelof – Put his body on the line on more than one occasion. 7/10
Harry Maguire – His best game in ages. Won the aerial duel with Calvert-Lewin. Made some key interceptions and ensured heads didn’t drop. Excellent. 8/10
Luke Shaw – Played a lovely ball into Bruno to make it 1-1. Defensively astute. A willing runner. Great on the ball. It’s a shame he’s now injured. 8/10
Scott McTominay – Won the physical battle and kept things ticking over. 6/10
Fred – Outstanding. Played some lovely balls forward, covered every blade of grass and wasn’t afraid to get tough either. Man of the Match. 9/10
Bruno Fernandes – He’s just a genius, isn’t he? Two goals, one assist and a constant thorn in Everton’s side. Top-drawer. 8/10
Juan Mata – Quiet. Too slow to press. No speed or intensity. Was involved in some nice build-up play every now and then. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Looked threatening, but his final pass or shot often let him down. 4/10
Anthony Martial – Had a couple of golden opportunities, but he couldn’t take them. Pretty quiet. 3/10
Axel Tuanzebe – Didn’t offer enough width.
Paul Pogba – Did ok.
Edinson Cavani – Scored his first United goal with a lovely finish.
