Manchester United are readying a bid for the 19-year old Brazilian starlet, Robert Kennedy, according to The Express. Many are touting Kennedy as the ‘next Neymar’ as he impresses in the Brazilian league for Fluminense and the Brazilian youth side.
Despite only managing one goal in the American Youth Championship, scouts for both Manchester United and Chelsea were impressed with the 19-year old, with Van Gaal thought to be readying a £5million bid.
It is believed that Kennedy himself would prefer a move to his ‘beloved’ Chelsea side, linking up with other Brazilians like Ramires, Felipe Luis and Oscar.
For me this wouldn’t be one I’d be all that sad on missing out on. Manchester United need ready-made stars rather than developing talents at this point in time, and Louis van Gaal must surely recognise that.
