Manchester United are already weighing up their transfer targets for this coming summer, with Van Gaal preparing for another big summer spending spree as the club look to bolster their options. One of those reported targets is Memphis Depay, the talented PSV winger.
The club have been boosted in their pursuit of the 21-year old, as a club director has told the media that the star player ‘has the option to leave’ this summer.
Toon Gerbrands, a director at PSV said:
“Tottenham were willing to offer €20m for Depay. We decided to keep hold of him.
“But he has the option to leave after this season.
“I think these two players are very attractive to a lot of clubs in Europe. So far, no one has come forward with an offer but I expect we will come under great pressure.”
This pretty much guarantees Depay will leave the Dutch club this summer, and heres to hoping he switches to Old Trafford. His pace, trickery and intelligence on the football would be a huge addition to the club, and his relationship with Louis van Gaal is also a huge plus.
