Manchester United and Louis van Gaal have set aside a huge £120million to sign Gareth Bale if the chance arises, according to the Daily Star. That move isn’t going to happen during this window though, as the Welshman himself was adamant he will not be leaving the Bernabeu in this window.
The 25-year old has been a huge hit in Spain, but recent performances have led to him being booed by the Madrid fans, which is all a bit bizarre – especially when you consider he is one of the best players in the world.
If that continues, it could persuade the Welshman to leave Spain and return to a club closer to home, obviously United would be more than willing to break the bank to make him a Manchester United player.
It was thought that David Moyes made a late bid for him the season he moved to Real, but Bale opted for a switch to Spain instead.
