Man Utd set for crunch talks with super agent about De Gea & Falcao future

Manchester United fans and the board alike are becoming increasingly twitchy about the David de Gea situation, and according to the Star on Sunday, his agent Jorge Mendes is set for talks with the club about his client. Radamel Falcao is thought to be amongst the topic of discussion too.

The ‘super agent’ Mendes is seeking a huge £140,000-a-week deal for David de Gea, making him the highest paid goalkeeper in world football. The £7million a year deal is close to being agreed, but one stumbling block is the release clause that both Mendes and De Gea want in his new deal.

That release clause figure is thought to be somewhere in the region of £35million, whereas United value their star man at closer to the £50million mark.

Radamel Falcao is also hot on the list of priorities, with Mendes looking to convince Manchester United to take El Tigre on a permanent deal. However after recent performances, United must be finding it tough to part with over £40million for a man who has been struggling in the Premier League.
