Man Utd set to complete second summer transfer

Manchester United are clearly looking to wrap up their transfer business as early as possible, giving the new signings the best possible chance to bed into the squad as quickly and proficiently before the new season begins in August.

With the Memphis Depay deal all done, Louis van Gaal could already be closing in on the completion of a second signing in the form of Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne.

According to The Metro, Manchester United believe they are on the cusp of landing the 24-year old who has just one year left on his contract down South.

The England international would be an excellent addition to the Manchester United squad, and he certainly has the ability to tie down the right-back spot for years to come.

The Metro say that United are hopeful the deal will be concluded as early as next week.

Would Clyne be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
