Man Utd set to offer De Gea plus cash for Gareth Bale

Manchester United are preparing a sensational move to lure Gareth Bale to Old Trafford, but unfortunately it’ll mean David de Gea going the other way, according to the usually reliable Steve Bates of the Sunday People. In total, the deal is thought to be worth over £100million.

Louis van Gaal plans to offer David de Gea plus £50million in cash to bring the Welshman to Manchester United, as Edward Woodward and the rest of the board value our shot-stopper at a huge £50million – which would be a world record fee for a goalkeeper.

Whilst it would be a huge blow to lose the 24-year old, bringing one of the best players in the world into the club would certainly soften that considerably. We’ve all seen what Gareth Bale can do in the Premier League, and the thought of him and Angel di Maria tearing down the wings in a 4-3-3 formation would be extremely frightening for any opposing team.
