Manchester United’s injury fortunes seem to be taking a turn for the better, with Rafael da Silva set to return to full contact training on Friday. This is much better news than originally expected after he suffered a fractured cheekbone in the 2-0 win over Yeovil, with some reports saying he’ll miss six weeks.
The 24-year old right-back will have to play with a mask for the game at the weekend at the very least, and he’ll certainly be hoping for an injury-free spell and a good run in the side.
His constant injuries have become a concern of late, and it seems as though Louis van Gaal could potentially be looking to replace the Brazilian, as reports linking Manchester United for a right-back just don’t seem to be going away.
We all love Rafael. His passion for the club is great, and who can forget just how integral he was to our 20th Premier League title, as he grabbed countless assists and scored a few goals too.
Hopefully he can stay fit and impress the Iron Tulip, because we all know the talent is there.
