Man Utd step up interest in Chile midfielder

It seems as though the transfer saga of last summer for Manchester United fans is about to rear its ugly head once again. The Italian media outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed Louis van Gaal has stepped up his interest in the Juventus midfielder, Arturo Vidal.

Gazzetta go on to say that United and Vidal are planned to hold talks about a transfer this week, in order to beat off competition from both Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Vidal, 28, is the perfect box-to-box midfielder, and theres no doubt that he would be a fantastic addition to any football side in world football.

He can tackle, pass, score goals and create chances, and he will work tirelessly throughout the football match.

My only concern is luring him away from Juventus will not be easy, and it’d certainly cost a pretty penny in terms of a transfer fee and wages.

For now though, take this one with a pinch of salt because Gazzetta are the same media outlet that said this deal would happen last summer, when in truth United didn’t even move for him.

Would Vidal be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
