Manchester United have been chasing the signature of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the last week or so, with Sky Sports saying that a deal could be completed before Euro 2016. Now, the big Swede has further fueled that transfer talk.
He has been speaking to the media ahead of the launch of his clothing line, and he clearly thinks very highly of his soon-to-be manager Jose Mourinho.
“Mourinho is cool. The older they get, the cooler they get. The grey hair. The serious expression.” Zlatan Ibrahimovic began.
He was then asked about his relationships with all of his managers, Zlatan replied: “I have a good relationship with all my previous coaches. Except one. Pep.”
These latest comments certainly speak volumes, and it’s quite clear that Ibrahimovic is already trying to endear himself to the Manchester United fans.
We all know that he has a fantastic relationship with Jose Mourinho, and the pair will most likely be reunited by the end of this transfer window.
In terms of the influence could have, bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be a huge statement of intent. He is a player who had his best goalscoring season last term, and he could well be that short-term fix that Manchester United have been craving for quite a while now.
