Manchester United are still unsure as to whether David de Gea will be the clubs number one come next season, but just in case that he does decide to switch the red of United for the white of Real, contingency plans are clearly being made.
According to reports in France, Manchester United have told Hugo Lloris that they want to sign him this summer if De Gea does leave. L’equipe go on to say that the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has agreed to sell Lloris if a Champions League club comes in with a fair offer for the 28-year old.
There is no better replacement for De Gea than Lloris. The Frenchman knows the English game well, makes excellent saves and can distribute the ball brilliantly.
My only concern would be the fee demanded by Daniel Levy. We all know just how much he loves to bmp player prices up, and if we’re not careful we could end up paying more for him than we receive for De Gea.
