Man Utd to complete Pedro deal next week

Manchester United are thought to be seriously interested in bringing Pedro Rodriguez to Old Trafford this summer, with the 27-year old thought to want the move to happen due to a lack of playing time at the Camp Nou over the past few years.

According to The Express, Manchester United are on the verge of completing a £22million move for the Spanish international, and the transfer could be completed as early as next week.

Somewhat ironically, that probably means Pedro will play against his potential teammates on Saturday when the two sides clash during their pre-season tours of America, and it will be interesting to get a glimpse of how the winger plays.

Louis van Gaal’s interest is clear, and Pedro’s biggest selling point is obviously his versatility as he can play all across the front three – and we all know the Iron Tulip likes players who work hard for the cause. Pedro doesn’t stop running during matches.

All-in-all, he’d be a fantastic signing at a low price, however it probably means that Angel di Maria will be leaving Old Trafford if Pedro does arrive, because we already have plenty of wingers on our books.

  1. would be great move as Di Maria never wanted to be at OT in the first place. Get rid of the great sulk and get a hard worker in

    • Exactly, I prefer Pedro as he never stops working hard. Get Pedro and Otamendi fast. Pedro for that price, in the current market, it`s a gift.

      • I could not agree more chaps, Pedro is an absolute bargain at £22m (think of the figures paid for Sterling and Benteke!). Pedro is not only a clinical finisher, he’s also hugely industrious, very intelligent with great movement, has a wealth of experience at the very highest level, and we just know he would strike up a great ‘bromance’ with Mata and Herrera!.

All in all it’s an absolute no brainer!
