Man Utd to force Real Madrid to pay a world record fee for De Gea

Manchester United are bracing themselves as a bid from Real Madrid for David de Gea is set to become a reality in the summer. De Gea, who has eighteen months left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford, has been hugely impressing in the current Premier League campaign.

Louis van Gaal and the Manchester United hierarchy value David de Gea upwards of the £40million mark, and if they have their way they’ll be looking to get Gareth Bale in return.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Real Madrid are prepared to part with Bale if the price is right, despite excellent performances since his world record move to the Bernabeu in the summer before last.

Despite knowing that Real Madrid will eventually get David de Gea through their doors, the board at United are relaxed about his contract situation.
