Man Utd to launch £25million bid for midfielder this week

Manchester United’s transfer window has hit a bit of a brick wall at the moment, with not an awful lot of concrete information coming through. However one signing that looks inevitable is Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Frenchman is to be subject of an increased offer of £25million from Louis van Gaal’s side this week, and that is expected to be enough to land the 25-year old and persuade him to move to Old Trafford.

“Manchester United have had one bid, of around £20 Million, rejected for Morgan Schneiderlin,” Jackson told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “Southampton want £30 Million and United are willing to go up to £25 Million.

“I expect them to put in another bid this week. Louis van Gaal wants to get that deal done and he will go for the right price.”

All the signs seem to suggest that Morgan Schneiderlin will join Manchester United this summer, and its more of a case of when then if. Southampton do return to training this week and you’d preferably want the move to happen before their first training session takes place on Wednesday.

  1. i feel sorry for some saints players, they get to play the southampton style, which makes them better than they are, they then go to a so called bigger club, and their value seems to plummet. id have loved to see morgan under alex ferguson. i hope he doesnt become a man u bench warmer.like lovren and lambert did for liverpoo. lallana didnt do much last season either. feel sorry for clyne going there, should have moved to man u where his style of play would have suited better.

  2. I personally think this could be United’s signing of the summer. He (Schneiderlin) could slip into the Micky C’s boots, when the inevitable injury strikes (we all know how we struggle without his quality and experience) also he could easily play alongside Carrick, Ander, Blind, et all. Schneiderlin is a master of his position, rather than a Jack of allsorts. So Ed pull your finger out and pay the extra 5 mill, before Arsenal do.
