Man Utd to make £50million bid for Premier League striker

With Radamel Falcao leaving the club, and Robin van Persie ageing and looking likely to follow El Tigre out of the door, Manchester United are going to have to bolster their attacking options significantly this summer.

According to Goal.com, Manchester United are ready to test Tottenham’s resolve regarding Harry Kane, with a £50million bid including three players.

The club are willing to offer up Javier Hernandez, Nani and Adnan Januzaj as a part of the package deal, in which Kane could become the most expensive British footballer.

For me this deal wouldn’t make an awful lot of sense. The 21-year old has had one good breakthrough season. Before spending big money on the striker, lets see if he can do it for another season or two yet.

We need proven goals, and someone like Karim Benzema or Gonzalo Higuain would be significantly better options at this moment in time.

  1. Buying experience is no certainty. Look at Falcao and Di Maria. If you speak to Spurs fans they will say it is not just one year. They have been speaking about Kane since he was about 14. He is young and English too which fits with Utd’s transfer policy. That said, I would love both Kane and Benzema at Utd next year. With Falcao and (probably) RVP going we need at least two new strikers.
