Man Utd to make €60m bid for world class defender

Manchester United have made some great strides into improving the starting line-up this season, and Louis van Gaal has clearly outlined a list of players whom he wants to join the club before the season starts.

I still think we’re two signings away from challenging for the title, and one of those players we need is a strong centre-back.

According to AS, Manchester United are preparing a €60million offer for Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos.

There is no doubting Sergio Ramos’ talents, and he clearly is one of the best centre-backs in world football at the moment. However I cannot see Real Madrid parting with one of their prized assets unless David de Gea is involved in the deal.

Personally I feel that United shouldn’t spend too much longer on Ramos. Give Real Madrid one final take it or leave it offer for the centre-back and then move on to other targets like Nicolas Otamendi.

  1. United should give up on Ramos; he is a unreaistic signing, I do not believe he truly wants to leave Madrid along with the notion that madrid will not sell him. Otamendi is a much better option, he is far more realistic and highly talented. He not only looks solid at the back but is also a goal threat. You never know; he could fill the void that was left by the departure of Vidic!
