Manchester United succumbed to a 1-0 defeat away at the ground of champions elect Chelsea yesterday, despite putting in yet another encouraging performance. One position in which United were lacking was up front, with Radamel Falcao under performing once again.
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United are looking to address that issue by making a move for the red-hot Aston Villa striker, Christian Benteke.
The big Belgian is in a rich vein of form at the moment, with many clubs keeping an eye on the 24-year old who has two years left on his current deal.
It is thought that United are prepared to spend £25million to tempt Villa into parting with their star player, with Tim Sherwood admitting last week that he may have to be sold.
The Daily Star go onto add that James Wilson could leave Old Trafford on loan next season.
