Manchester United are widely expected to go on another transfer window splurge in the summer, with a whole host of positions in the team likely to be upgraded. One of those is the right-back slot, with Louis van Gaal seemingly unconvinced by Brazilian Rafael.
According to the Sun, United are preparing to make a move for another Brazilian right-back in the form of Dani Alves. The Barcelona man will be available on a free transfer in the summer, and is willing to leave his current side if a club offers him a three-year contract worth £100,000-a-week.
There is certain to be challengers for his signature though, as we all know that Alves is proven at the highest level. The 31-year old is also thought to be a target of Manchester City’s, despite the fact they already have two right-backs on their books.
