Man Utd to offer trial to Southport starlet

Manchester United are set to offer Southport’s young striker Drew Lewis a trial at Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail. Manchester United are known to be after a speedy striker to join the club in the summer, but this is probably a move fans weren’t expecting.

Drew Lewis, 19, has been in scintillating form in the conference for Southport, scoring a huge 38 goals already. He has caught the eye of many clubs around the country, but United are set to make their move first by giving the young man a trial.

This comes after Van Gaal’s move for fellow non-league player, Sadiq El Fitouri, after he made the move from Salford to United back in January.

Lewis has scored goals in a struggling Southport side, and if Louis van Gaal likes what he sees when he comes to Carrington for the trial it could be a huge change in lifestyles for the youngster.
