Manchester United are preparing to use Adnan Januzaj as a makeweight to sign the World Cup star Memphis Depay this summer. The news comes from TalkSPORT, who go on to say that United are more than willing to send the Belgian out on loan to gain more experience.
This would be a great move for all involved. Manchester United would be signing one of the hottest talents in the game at the moment, whilst PSV have a ready-made replacement in Adnan Januzaj for a year. That’d also mean that Adnan will get some much-needed experience, as he has been limited to just eight starts under Van Gaal.
“If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move.” PSV’s Sporting Director Marcel Brands said.
Manchester United have lacked any real pace in the side this season, with our only speedster Angel di Maria seriously under performing. Memphis Depay has been making headlines all season in the Eredivisie, and hopefully we can sign him and see if he is ready to make that huge step up.
