Manchester United are preparing to use the on loan Radamel Falcao as transfer bait, in a bid to lure Edinson Cavani to Old Trafford as part of a straight swap deal between the pair, according to French media outlet L’Equipe.
Radamel Falcao has been quite unfortunate in his short Manchester United career, with injuries certainly hampering his case. Despite a recent run in the side, El Tigre hasn’t been able to find the back of the net anywhere near as often as he’d have liked, and now he faces a tough ask in the second half of the season to persuade Louis van Gaal to keep the Columbian over his South-American compatriot Cavani.
Manchester United have been linked with Edinson Cavani a few times over the last few transfer windows, as the 27-year old isn’t really having the best of times in the French capital at the moment.
Falcao and Cavani are both great strikers who will both score goals at the highest level given a good run of form in the side. Its tough to decide which of the two is the better player, but I would go for Radamel Falcao. Just.
